Free First Friday Art Walk in San Antonio

For more information and special deals related to any of the issues on this page, place your cursor over the double-underlined links.

Local artists are featured every first Friday of the month year-round at this event. Participants include studios, galleries, and the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum. Go support the people who make San Antonio awesome on the first Friday of the month.  South Alamo Street (near South Presa Street) is the starting point for the First Friday festivities featuring art, crafts, live music and food over many blocks. The event includes studios and galleries in the King William Historic District and the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum. Most are open from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.

If you have never experienced this monthly event, now is the perfect time. Festivities begin around 6pm at the Blue Star Art Complex. First Friday is an opportunity to check out new galleries, listen to local music and hang out with people that appreciate the arts as much as we do. There’s a pub run starting at 7pm at Pat O’Briens. If none of this seems like your cup of tea, you can also enjoy the art walk where local vendors have set up booths where they can sell various items like paintings, drawings, prints and other crafty items. Parking can be hard to find, so get there early. Also, you are a visitor to the SouthTown area, please be courteous and respectful of the residents and their property. HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE
